Evaluation in Simulation: Using Data for Quality Improvement and Curriculum Development is an evidence-based professional development webinar designed for higher education and hospital-based healthcare educators who want to strengthen their understanding and application of simulation evaluation practices. Grounded in the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice®, this one-hour recorded webinar explores how simulation evaluation data can drive meaningful quality improvement and inform curriculum development decisions. This webinar includes examples of an evaluation framework and tools and supports the pathway to simulation accreditation.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify three ways to use simulation evaluation data for quality improvement and competency-based evaluation.
  • Describe the key components of the Evaluation of Learning and Performance standard as listed in the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice®.

Earning Contact Hours (RNs)

Participants with a valid RN license who watch the entire recorded webinar and complete the post-activity evaluation can earn 1.0 contact hour. Partial contact hours are not awarded.

Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Cost

The registration fee is $25.00 and includes access to the 60-minute recorded webinar video, presentation references, poll question checks used throughout the webinar, and a contact hour certificate upon successful completion for participants with a valid RN license.

Refund Policy

Refunds are available at any time, provided the participant has not yet accessed the Canvas course materials. A non-refundable administrative fee of $10.00 will be retained from the total amount paid to cover processing and enrollment costs. Once the Canvas course materials have been accessed, no refund will be issued regardless of the reason.
